Mepache

MEPACHE

  • 1½ oz. / 45 ml. mezcal

  • ¾ oz. / 22.5 ml. Italicus

  • ½ oz. / 15 ml. Amaro Montenegro

  • 3 drops saline solution (20%)

  • 3 drops citric acid solution (10%)

  • grapefruit peel oil

METHOD
add all ingredients to mixing glass / stir with ice until chilled / strain into a glass over a clear BFC / express grapefruit peel oil over the surface / garnish with grapefruit twist

ABOUT
This cocktail was created by my friend Jonny Norton (@yoers_). Mezcal does the heavy lifting. Montenegro brings in that warm orange and gentle spice, and Italicus lightens it up with bergamot and a soft, floral edge. A few drops of citric acid and saline keep it crisp, and grapefruit oil seals it all with a bright pop. Cheers y’all!
