Pineapple Trainwreck

PINEAPPLE TRAINWRECK

  • 1 oz. / 30 ml. aged rum

  • ½ oz. / 15 ml. overproof rum

  • ½ oz. / 15 ml. fresh lemon juice

  • 1½ oz. / 45 ml. pineapple juice

  • ¾ oz. / 22.5 ml. ginger syrup

  • 1 dash Peychaud's bitters

  • 1 dash Angostura bitters

METHOD
add all ingredients to shaker tin / add ice and shake until chilled / strain into glass over fresh ice / garnish with pineapple frond and maraschino cherry

ABOUT
This cocktail is by Ryan Margarian, co-founder of Aviation Gin and one of my favorite Portland places, Oven and Shaker. The key to this is a high quality spicy ginger syrup. For rum, Margarian prefers Plantation Original Dark and OFTD. Cheers y’all!
