ARCHANGEL

  • 2¼ oz. / 67.5 ml. gin (Plymouth)

  • ¾ oz. / 22.5 ml. Aperol

  • 2 slices cucumber

  • lemon peel oil

METHOD
add cucumber slices to mixing glass and gently muddle / add remaining ingredients / stir with ice until chilled / strain into a chilled coupe or Nick and Nora / garnish with cucumber slice or ribbon

ABOUT
This cocktail was created in 2006 by Michael McIlroy and Richard Boccato at Milk & Honey in New York City. It’s a minimalist, stirred gin cocktail that leans heavily on freshness rather than sweetness. Aperol softens the gin with gentle bitterness, while muddled cucumber brings a clean, green note that keeps the drink crisp and restrained. Simple specs, precise execution, and very much in the Milk & Honey lineage. Cheers y’all!
