Jamaican Wake Up
JAMAICAN WAKE UP
- 1 oz. / 30 ml. aged Jamaican rum 
- ¾ oz. / 22.5 ml. overproof Jamaican rum 
- ¾ oz. / 22.5 ml. banana liqueur 
- ½ oz. / 15 ml. coffee liqueur 
- 1 oz. / 30 ml. espresso or cold brew concentrate 
- 1 dash chocolate bitters 
- 1 pinch salt 
METHOD
add all ingredients to shaker tin / shake with ice until chilled / fine strain into coupe or Nick and Nora / garnish with three coffee beans (optional) – the picture shows a dusting of cinnamon which I did on a whim

Here’s an espresso martini recipe by Suzy (@spiritedshaker). When I saw Jamaican rum, I just had to reshake it. Banana liqueur brings the sweetness, which pairs well with the rum base. Chocolate bitters adds some complexity and salt makes everything POP. Cheers y’all!
