ODESSA

  • ¾ oz. / 22.5 ml. Batavia Arrack

  • ¾ oz. / 22.5 ml. dry gin

  • ¾ oz. / 22.5 ml. Campari

  • ¾ oz. / 22.5 ml. sweet vermouth

  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters

METHOD
add all ingredients to mixing glass / stir with ice until chilled / strain into a coupe or Nick and Nora / garnish with a maraschino cherry

Thanks to Frederic Yarm (@FredericYarm) for sharing this classic that dates back to 1936 where it was featured in 1000 Mistures. This Negroni has the addition of Arrack, an Indonesian sugarcane spirit akin to rum and cachaça, that ferments with red rice and indigenous yeast for a funky, lovely taste. Cheers y’all!
