Ambrosian Basil Fizz

AMBROSIAN BASIL FIZZ

  • 2 oz. / 60 ml. gin (Empress)

  • ½ oz. / 15 ml. Yellow Chartreuse

  • 1 oz. / 30 ml. fresh lime juice

  • ½ oz. / 15 ml. simple syrup

  • 8–10 basil leaves

  • 2 oz. / 60 ml. soda water to top

METHOD
add all ingredients to shaker tin except soda water / add ice and shake until chilled / fine strain into a chilled glass over ice spear / top with soda water / garnish with a fresh basil leaf

This cocktail was created by Jean-félix Desfossés (@jfdesfosses). This gin basil fizz gets an extra layer of love and complexity with the addition of Yellow Chartreuse, giving rise to the name (Ambrosia is Latin for food of the gods). Cheers y’all!
