Sicilian Wit

SICILIAN WIT

  • 1 oz. / 30 ml. Amaro Averna

  • 1 oz. / 30 ml. Amaro Montenegro

  • 1 oz. / 30 ml. fresh lime juice

  • ¾ oz. / 22.5 ml. simple syrup

METHOD
add all ingredients to shaker tin / shake with small amount of ice until ice melts (“whip shake”) / pour into a glass / top with crushed or pebble ice / garnish with an orange slice (fresh or dehydrated)

ABOUT
This cocktail was created by Drew Johnson (@cheekydees) and I found it via his mentee, Josh Leos (@irrelevantbartender) who works at Noble Experiment (San Diego, CA). This one follows the typical daiquiri template, but uses a split base of amari. It’s basically a daiquiri digestiff that’s bitter and delicious. Cheers y’all!
